AIM Additional Clubs and Organizations
Gardening Club

The STEM-based Gardening Club integrates environmental engineering principles with sustainable agriculture to engage students and community members in hands-on problem solving around real-world ecological challenges. Participants design and maintain garden systems using concepts such as soil science, water management, composting, irrigation efficiency, and data-driven plant selection, while also exploring renewable practices that reduce waste and conserve resources. Through collaborative projects, members learn to prototype solutions, analyze outcomes, and iterate designs--mirroring authentic engineering processes-while producing food and green spaces that benefit the broader community. The club is intentionally inclusive, serving all students and community members regardless of prior experience, and functions as both a learning laboratory and a community sustainability hub that promotes environmental stewardship, civic engagement, and equitable access to STEM learning opportunities.
